We are excited to be working closely with a range of stakeholders across Wales to co-construct a new suite of GCSEs as part of ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Wales’ ‘Qualified for the future’ project.

³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Wales has published their Ìýfor the new suite of GCSEs. Our Qualification Development Team will now be actively engaging with a broad range of stakeholders to create inspiring, innovative and exciting qualifications for learners in Wales.

The draft specifications for the first wave of GCSEs and related qualifications, first teaching from September 2025, are now available. The final approved versions will be published from September. A comprehensive assessment pack for each qualification, including detailed assessment arrangements and sample assessment materials, will then be published in December, followed by Guidance for Teaching in January.
